RANGOLI Kindergarten consists of two programs Junior KG & Senior KG.
The age criteria for admission to Kindergarten is as follows

Our preschoolers are now ready to learn systematically with confidence and discipline. Phonic teaching is the base of the English language teaching and a prime focus for junior kindergarten. Subject based learning pattern including English, Maths, Environmental learning, Life Skills and Hindi recognition are introduced at this level. Introduction to functional English, advancement in Mathematical skills, Introduction to Hindi writing, elaborative Environment Learning and Life Skills are the subjects covered in senior kindergarten.Children are given exposure to learn at their own pace. The understanding about the numbers and mathematical concepts also happens at the greater level. Language development includes listening, writing, reading, speaking and comprehending is emphasized. Drawing and art activities are also planned to enhance the creativity of young ones.
Developmental Areas covered in Kindergarten
The day starts with exercise and yoga as a part of physical development. Meditation helps to improve concentration of young minds.
Our curriculum includes physical education session on regular basis. Under this session we have designed various activities which would help to develop the child’s fine and gross motor skills one level ahead. Through this session children are introduced to different sports such as well that includes games like cricket, volley ball, etc. Level by level we attempt to help them to master skills like throwing, catching, hitting, balancing which is the base of many sports.
Day at rangoli also includes special sessions for drawing and craft on regular basis. These sessions help to develop child’s fine motor skills which in turn improve handwriting.
Social & Emotional Development
There are different group activities, stories and games designed in curriculum which helps to inculcate values like sharing, helping, waiting for turn, respecting others, caring for all, etc.
Celebrations are an integral part of RANGOLI curriculum. We celebrate different religious and national festivals as part of social development. There are numerous special days celebrated like Parents’ day, Grandparents’ day, etc.
As a part of cognitive development our activities includes introduction to different concepts through books, worksheets, digital media, sorting and segregating, practical models, field visits, outside visitor for live demonstration, etc.
Language session includes interactive activities designed for language development.
The day starts with the “Thought of the day” where children are encouraged to speak on different topics. Rhyme singing, role play, picture talk, storytelling, etc helps to clear speech and enhance vocabulary.
A Typical day at RANGOLI
Kindergarten (Jr. KG & Sr. KG)
Welcome to school:
Children are welcomed with a greeting by their name which helps set a positive mood for the day. Rangoli kindergarten providing franchise opportunities in India.
The day begins with an assembly to inculcate discipline and improve concentration of young minds. It includes prayer in English, Hindi and Sanskrit languages. YOGA is also a part of this session for physical and mental well being. Speech/thought of the day is included in this session for intellectual development, confidence building and enriches vocabulary and logical thinking.
Along with mental and intellectual development, physical development is equally important. This session includes various indoor and outdoor games which helps to develop gross motor skills and enhances alertness.
This is the oral and written study time allotted to languages – English and Hindi. It helps child to develop reading, writing and communication skills along with word building.
It is the session for mathematical concepts and number worksheets which includes number writing, serialization, counting, order, etc.
This session focuses on development of good table mannerism. It also develops a habit of eating a balanced diet independently.
This is the session where children get involved artistically. It focuses on Drawing, Art and Craft and Music as a basic introduction to new learning and developmental areas. This plays a very important role in developing fine motor skills.
Concept time involves environmental science and life skills. EVS concepts consist of topics based practical learning useful for day to day life. Life skills help to inculcate different habits and values which are an integral part of child’s development.
This is the time for playful learning activities. Children are given exposure to different teaching aids, rhyme singing, storytelling, audio-visual activity, games and puzzles etc. for their all round development. It is generally an interactive session.
